Join us Friday, January 29, for the quarterly SMPO coffee. We’ll meet in the cafetorium after drop-off. Coffee will be provided by our friends at Lookout Joe.

This is a chance to get to know your fellow Sands parents to talk about what’s going on at the school and maybe make a few friends or become involved. Principal Lord will also join us for this fun morning event.

Connie West from Myerson Academy will also be attending to present information on CPS’ new social-emotional curriculum our 9-12 students are using, called Thriving Learning Communities (TLC), which features 24 key character strengths, including gratitude, hope and perseverance, and how to develop and build them in their daily lives. And a representative from Beech Acres will  present information on mindfulness.
